The Sardine Run is a spectacular annual phenomenon in which shoals of sardines Sardinops sagax move from the waters of the Eastern Cape to those of KwaZulu-Natal during the South African winter.
The Sardine Run is generally confined to June and July and updates on their movements can
be obtained by phoning the
KZN SHARKS BOARD/EAST COAST RADIO

during this two month period.
