HOW TO READ THIS TABLE (EXAMPLES):

  • The annual average blacktip shark catch for the last 5 years is 71 animals of which 8.4 animals (11.8 %) were released alive.
  • The annual average mortality for blacktip sharks in the last 5 years is 62.6 animals.
  • Please note that some of the totals might not add up due to rounding of the figures. Note also that these catch figures include animals that were discarded at sea due to their decomposed state.
